Our Services
You will receive a comprehensive eye examination, and a prescription for eyeglasses will be provided at the conclusion of your visit. We also offer contact lens evaluations and fittings, with a variety of options tailored to your individual needs, including daily and monthly disposable lenses, rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses, and medically necessary contact lenses.
Our providers diagnose, monitor, and manage a range of ocular conditions, including dry eye, glaucoma, and macular degeneration, among others. Should your condition progress, we have established strong relationships with local specialists to ensure seamless coordination of care and access to advanced treatment options.
Annual and Routine Eye Exams
Routine eye examinations are essential—even in the absence of noticeable vision problems—to ensure overall ocular health and to maintain accurate vision prescriptions. In general, adults should undergo an eye exam every one to two years. However, individuals over the age of 40, those with diabetes, and patients who wear contact lenses or glasses are advised to schedule annual examinations.

Contact Lens Exam
The first step in the fitting process involves precise measurements of the eyes to ensure proper lens fit. Patients will also be scheduled for a contact lens training appointment with an optician. During this visit, patients will receive instruction on proper lens insertion, removal, and cleaning techniques.
Pediatric eye exams
When a child begins school, typically between the ages of 5 and 6, they should start receiving annual comprehensive eye examinations from an optometrist. Clear vision is essential to a child’s development and plays a vital role in their ability to learn, engage socially, and confidently explore their environment. Pediatric eye exams assess both the overall health of the eyes and their functional performance.

In Office Testing
Hunter’s Hill Eyecare offers a full range of advanced in-office diagnostic testing to evaluate both the structure and function of your eyes. From visual field testing and tonometry to high-resolution imaging like OCT and ultra-widefield retinal scans, these tools help detect and monitor conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. Additional technologies, including autorefraction, corneal hysteresis measurement, dark adaptation testing, and ERG (RETeval), provide deeper insight for early detection and more precise, personalized care.
